OUR TEAM
Our Pastors
Noe and Bertha Lara
In March of 2008 Bertha and Noe Lara felt the Lord’s calling while in seminary school. During a lecture by a local missionary, they felt the prompting of the Holy Spirit to one day plant a church. The plan was never to start a church, but as they heard stories of this local missionary, their hearts began to hurt for their community. In 2017, after serving as middle school youth pastors, Noe and Bertha felt the prompting of the Holy Spirit that it was time to begin the Journey.
In the fall of 2017 they began a bible study at a local coffee shop. The goal was simple, “Make God’s creative love known to all.” Their heart was and is to empower people to not just live, but lead the life God has planned for them. They believe that God’s love is creative, so the church must manifest His love to a broken world in creative ways.
Leadership Team
Pastoral Care
Ted & Andrea Miller
“We have a deep love for God and a strong desire to serve him. We felt the Lord put on our hearts that all of our life experiences could be used to serve his kingdom, and help men, women, and marriages draw closer to Christ.”
Connections
Blake & Danielle Guither
“We felt called to lead the connections team because we both believed we could add value by helping the church welcome people and make them feel at home.”
Student Ministries
Manny & Adri Garcia
“On the same day while we were both at work, we both felt the call to youth ministry. Little did we know until later that night through prayer, that God was truly calling us into starting a youth ministry.”
Worship & Productions
Kyle O’Harris
“I grew up in a musical household and always had a passion for music. Once I was saved, the Lord put in my heart that I was called to Worship.”
Executive Administrative Assistant
Kelly Nelson
“After resigning from an Administrative Assistant position at a school district, I felt like I was called to help Pastor Noe & Bertha and the leadership team with this role. I have always enjoyed supporting others through organization and other administrative duties to take some load off those that do so much for our church.”
